Home Economics - Child Development GCSE
This page contains information related to our GCSE Home Economics Child Development specification available in England and Wales.
We are pleased to confirm that, in Wales, the end date for our current GCSE Home Economics Child Development has been extended. The final award will now be in 2020. Centres may therefore continue to use the existing specification for two-year courses up to and including first teaching from September 2018. The last starting date for three year courses will be September 2017.
All centres in Wales will need to start the new reformed suite of Health & Social Care and Childcare qualifications, Levels 1-5, from September 2019. You can find out more about this on the Qualifications Wales website or email email@example.com
In England the specification will be awarded for the last time in 2018.
